Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy
Last reviewed: 20 October 2026 · Draft for business-owner review before publication
Important: These are proposed terms and must be checked and approved by the business owner, with legal review as appropriate, before use with customers.
1. Quotations
We provide individual quotations after discussing the event, including location, hours, number of guards, duties and any special requirements. No public prices are displayed. Any quotation should specify its validity period, inclusions and any additional charges.
2. Booking process
Customers should first obtain a quotation reference. A booking form or email is a request only. A contract is formed only when Ori Private Protection issues written acceptance of the agreed scope, dates, fee and payment arrangements. Do not assume security is reserved until written confirmation is received.
3. Payments
All prices are provided in personalised written quotations. No public prices are displayed.
Following agreement of the quotation, a 50% advance payment is required by bank transfer to secure a booking, subject to our written acceptance. The remaining 50% is payable seven calendar days before the event. For bookings made within seven days of the event, payment timing will be agreed in writing before confirmation.
The advance payment forms part of the total price and is not automatically non-refundable. The website does not collect online payments or bank card details. Payment instructions are provided directly in our written booking correspondence.
4. Changes
Changes to hours, location, guest numbers, duties or staffing are subject to availability and may require a revised quotation and written agreement.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Customers may cancel by contacting us by email or phone. Please include your quotation reference and event date.
Cancellation 14 days or more before the event: We will refund all advance payments received for the cancelled booking.
Cancellation less than 14 days before the event: We may retain only a fair and proportionate amount reflecting reasonable losses directly caused by the cancellation, such as unavoidable staffing commitments or other demonstrable costs. We will take into account costs saved and reasonable steps to reduce our losses. The 50% advance payment is not automatically forfeited; any balance beyond a reasonable cancellation charge will be refunded. We will explain any deduction on request.
If we cancel or fail to provide the agreed service: We will provide refunds in accordance with the customer’s legal rights and the circumstances of the cancellation.
Statutory rights: Nothing in this policy overrides applicable UK consumer law, including any cancellation or cooling-off rights that apply to contracts made online, by phone or away from business premises. The statutory cancellation period, where applicable, is distinct from our voluntary 14-days-before-event refund policy.
6. Safety and lawful instructions
Security staff will act within the law, their licence conditions and the agreed assignment. We may decline unsafe, unlawful or out-of-scope requests and will discuss material changes with the client.
7. Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or applicable statutory consumer rights.
8. Contact and disputes
For questions or complaints write to 125 Byron Avenue, Hounslow, TW4 6LU, United Kingdom, or contact frankzely2005@gmail.com or 07708 726029. The business will aim to resolve concerns promptly and fairly.
9. Governing law
These proposed terms are intended for services supplied in England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
